The Search for Cures: How Pfizer Medicines Get from the Laboratory to You

Our Summer Internship programs are aimed at providing practical work experience opportunities to undergraduate or graduate students. These positions offer practical work experience on meaningful value-added research projects with defined results and are designed to help students develop and apply their skills and knowledge to prepare for a successful career in the sciences.

Program Details

Summer Internship placements typically last 12 to 16 weeks (May - August) and are available at the following US locations:

  • Groton or New London, CT
  • La Jolla, CA
  • St. Louis, MO

Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive view of our research and development organization and to ignite a spark, encouraging you to further your research career. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience and network with other interns and colleagues across the site, including members of our senior management team.

Throughout the summer you will have opportunities to attend various professional development seminars and at the conclusion of the program, you will be invited to showcase your research by way of a site-wide poster session or a formal presentation to Pfizer colleagues.

Summer Internship Program Requirements
  • Maintain solid academic standing (3.0 GPA or above)
  • Be enrolled as a full time undergraduate or graduate student in a degree program related to our primary research efforts (science, business, computer science, etc)
  • Have a strong interest in scientific research as a career
  • Students must be authorized to work on a full-time, permanent basis in the United States
